Specialized Medical Surface Engineering Partner
Biocoat is a technology company located in Changzhou, China, specializing in surface treatment for orthopedic implants. We own both VPS and APS equipments, all of which are independently developed and manufactured in-house.
Our team is composed of professionals with backgrounds from globally recognized companies.
In addition, we also provide one-stop services for implant joints, from raw blanks to finished spray-coated products and manufacture related plasma spraying equipment for medical device manufacturers and distributors with specific needs.
Medical Exclusive
Zero industrial cross-contamination. Every facility, tooling setup, and process is strictly calibrated for surgical implants.
Plasma Spraying System
Our fully self-developed plasma spraying systems provide high coating efficiency and consistent yield, fully meeting customer quality and delivery requirements.
ISO 13485 Certified
Rigorous medical quality management system with lifetime batch tracking, master qualification records, and process validation.
In-House Testing →
Equipped with metallographic preparation, digital optical microscope analysis, mechanical testing, and roughness profilometers.
Specialized Coating Solutions
Engineered to optimize early bone osseointegration, long-term secondary mechanical fixation, and cyclic shear endurance under physiological loading.
Dynamic Ti
Vacuum plasma-sprayed commercially pure Titanium (CP-Ti). Forms an open, interconnected 3D porous network replicating human cancellous bone.
Ospeed
Synthetic high-purity calcium phosphate ceramic chemically bonded to substrates. Stimulates biological osteoconduction for rapid post-operative bone attachment.
Priori-Ti
Pure titanium coating process on PEEK substrates. High bond strength, much lower coating temperature on body, rough surface but more dense layer.
Laboratory & Testing Capabilities
Biocoat operates an advanced testing laboratory dedicated to medical device surface verification, process validation, and batch quality control. Equipped for rigorous static mechanics, metallographic stereology, and surface roughness evaluation in full compliance with Chinese (YY/T, GB/T) and international (ASTM, ISO) standards.
Tensile & Shear Adhesion Testing
Comprehensive mechanical evaluation determining static tensile bond strength and interfacial shear resistance for calcium phosphate (HA) and porous metallic coatings.
Stereological Characterization & Prep
End-to-end metallographic preparation and quantitative stereological evaluation assessing porous coating morphology, void fraction, and trabecular depth.
Surface Roughness Profilometry
High-resolution contact stylus profilometry analyzing micro- and macro-surface textures on grit-blasted substrate pre-treatments and as-sprayed medical coatings.
In-House Testing Standards & Matrix
Direct comparison of Chinese national/industry standards and international regulatory equivalents.
